Below average Positive: The location was quite good and central. Negative: The booking process was unfortunately confusing and frustrating. Although payment was completed through Booking.com and the booking was confirmed, I later received a WhatsApp message from a third-party platform (Stayinn) asking me to share payment details again. Given Booking.com’s reminders not to share payment information outside their platform, I assumed it was spam. This resulted in multiple phone calls to different numbers and over an hour of waiting at the property before the situation was clarified. I was also surprised by additional cleaning and deposit fees that were not reflected in the original total shown at booking. For a one-night guesthouse stay, this felt unusual and more in line with an Airbnb-style arrangement. The room itself was very basic, with no extra towels and no hooks or hangers to dry used towels between uses. The main positive aspect was the property’s location. I would recommend that the property clearly explain the payment verification process and any additional fees on the booking page in advance. This would help avoid confusion, improve the guest experience, and prevent situations where legitimate requests may be mistaken for spam.
